The Flow Of Money

The more we worry about money, and who's asking for it, and why their asking, and should they be asking, and should I be listening, and judging others, then judging their ideas and their work and their very existence....the more we condemn ourselves to a life of pain, worry and confusion. Most people do not realize they are doing this to themselves. Everyone on the planet, regardless of their calling is perfectly entitled to be paid for their time and expertise.

Find joy in trusting in the Universe to attract to you the perfect person, place, thing or fee that is right for you in the moment you are in. Perhaps you are being asked by the Universe to pay for spiritual work because you have negative judgments about it. Nothing in life is free if you are out in the world juding others on the way to finding free help all the time. You might pay with money, or you might pay with guilt, or you might pay with health, or you might pay with fear, etc. For every thought we hold there is an effect. We decide the effect. We often ignore or deny the people that appear to us and their gifts because they do not look like we think they should.

We are literally closing ourselves off from infinite possibility. If you are experiencing a life where the things you want and need are out of reach financially, there is a lesson in that. Consider the positive flow of the Universe. Find a new way of perceiving things, and you will have all the money you need and you will be happy to feed love and light into a prosperous Universe. Ask to be led. Give what is asked, without judgment, and know that the Light is more powerful than your fears. If by chance, you show up at the wrong address (which does not happen) the Angels will step in and add their monumental blessing to the faith you expressed in yourself. You will receive what you paid for and much more.

Blessings, Sheree

How to Sell: Selling Tips of Master Moms

"If you don't think well of yourself, no one will think anything of you."

At least half of selling is a mind set. Set your mind to being selfish with positive self-image, positive self-talk and your self-esteem. The sale is made inside our head before it takes place with the customer. It's like any product or service we sell - a house, a car, a cleaning service, web site design - all of these were in someone's mind as an idea before they came into reality. When we believe in ourselves, the sale will more easily take care of itself.

"Be brave. Timid people never amount to much."

There are several places in the sales process where each of us can take this advice from mom. Are you afraid to call on potential new clients? Are you hesitant to probe about a customer concern? Do you educate about your products or services and then stop just short of asking the client to make a decision? Customers start out with you in the buying process to make a decision to buy or not to buy. Wherever you hesitate, be brave. Help customers to make a decision. Your sales will amount to much more.

"It is as easy to love a rich man (or woman) as a poor one."

Why prejudge your prospects? They each have a budget they can work and live with. If you have a range in your product or services, you can help every customer to get what they want to solve their problem. Help them to understand what they want and then show them how you can help.

"Stand up straight, shoulders back, chest out."

We know from communications research that most of a message that is understood comes from our body language, eye contact, dress and other visuals that the receiver of the message takes in. If you are confident in your belief of your company, your product, your service and yourself, are your outer visual indicators communicating this?

"When you fall, pick up something while you're down there."

We are all going to lose a sale now and then. We're not perfect, only human. And being human life gives us lessons. So when you lose a sale, when you fall, learn something from the loss so you can be more successful next time in a similar situation.

"Trust yourself."

The question posed once was, "How to you get to Carnegie Hall? - Practice." Intuition is like a muscle. The more you use it the stronger it gets. And the stronger it gets the less fat gets in your way. Trust yourself when that little voice tells you to call on a particular customer, when you get the feeling your customer is ready to buy.

Whether it's your mom or someone else's, these words of wisdom from yesterday can help you improve your role today in sales. Go ahead. Just ask mom to remind you of a few "lessons" she gave you as you were growing up in her care. Then put those learnings into sales success.

The Best PR Has to Offer Managers

How cool is this? You're a business, non-profit or association manager. You decide to get serious about your public relations and shift the spotlight away from communications tactics. You implement an action blueprint that (1), helps you persuade your key external stakeholders to your way of thinking. And then (2), helps move them to take actions that lead to your success as a department, division or subsidiary manager.

It comes into sharper focus when that public relations blueprint helps deliver target audience behaviors like new waves of prospects buzzing around, more qualified calls about strategic alliances, a jump up in repeat purchases, a boost in the number of engineering consultants specifying your products or services, and even increased membership applications and contributions.

What is that blueprint, anyway? Try this: People act on their own perception of the facts before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about which something can be done. When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired-action the very people whose behaviors affect the organization the most, the public relations mission is accomplished.

As I've said many times in the past about that fundamental premise of public relations, it shines the PR spotlight directly on those outside groups of people with a large say about how successful a manager is going to be ? namely, it targets his or her most important external audiences.

But you need the PR folks assigned to your unit to buy into the program and shift their priorities from communications tactics to a workable, comprehensive plan like this one designed to deliver those key, outside audience behaviors.

Behaviors, by the way, that obviously help or hinder a manager in achieving his or her operating objectives.

The real work for you as the department, division or subsidiary manager starts by listing all your key external audiences in priority order so that you initially focus your resources on that number one audience.

Next step is answering the question, what do members of that audience think about your organization? Short of spending big money on professional survey counsel, you and your PR team can/should/must interact with those members by asking questions such as "What, if anything, do you think about us? Have you ever dealt with our people? Were you pleased with the experience? Have you heard other comments about our organization?"

At each step in this perception monitoring drill, you and your team must watch carefully for negatives like false assumptions, rumors, misconceptions and inaccurate statements. In other words, negativities that might turn into target audience behaviors that could really damage your operation.

The monitoring data you collect is the stuff of your public relations goal. For example, stifle the rumor, straighten out the misconception, turn around the false assumption, or make that inaccuracy accurate.

However, managers know that achieving any goal demands the right supporting strategy to show you how to reach it. Considering the workload, you'll be glad to know that opinion/ perception matters allow just three strategy choices: create perception where there isn't any, change existing perception, or reinforce it. But be alert to the need to select a strategy that directly complements your public relations goal.

The real burden of this PR problem solving sequence rests with the actual message you use to communicate your corrective facts to your target audience. This is where the public relations heavy lifting takes aim at altering individual perception among your target audience population.

First and foremost, your message must be clear, persuasive and carefully factual if it is to nudge perception/opinion in your direction and lead directly to those behaviors you desire. And it will do so only if your message is both believable and compelling. Which suggests that it be vetted prior to release by a variety of individuals to insure that it measures up to these standards.

You're in luck because you will benefit from a long list of communications tactics to help carry your message to the eyes and ears of members of your target audience. The list includes tactics like speeches, special events, media interviews and newsletters as well as press releases, customer briefings, facility tours, emails and quite a few others. Only caution here is, research each tactic carefully to be certain it has a record of reaching people just like those who make up your target audience.

Fortunately, things can always be accelerated by adding more high- impact communications tactics, increasing their frequencies and fine-tuning your message.

Answering the opening question, using a public relations blueprint of this nature can be extremely "cool." Especially when you, as a unit manager for a business, non-profit or association, take these steps to help persuade your key outside stakeholders to your way of thinking, then help move them to take actions that lead to your managerial success.

In my view, that IS the best PR has to offer managers.

Confident Kids : Why Some Parents Should Carry a Health Warning

As a hypnotherapist, I am acutely aware of the power of words. A few well-chosen words can induce hypnosis and help my clients with a wide range of problems. I specialise in confidence, self esteem and stress management, so I am particularly interested in the ways in which we influence our own self esteem, and that of others, through use of language.

It makes me wince sometimes, listening to parents speaking to their children. "Are you stupid?" "You naughty boy!" and a personal un-favourite "If you carry on like this you're going to . . . "

Don't these parents realise what they're doing? Everything we say -- to ourselves and to others -- has predictive power. Not in the sense of a clairvoyant, but because we are creating self-fulfilling prophecies. Tell yourself that you can, and you will. Tell yourself that you can't, and you won't.

Of course, life isn't simply a matter of setting ourselves up with cosy predictions. We still have to do the work. But without self belief, that work becomes harder because it seems impossible. This applies to people of all ages. Just think how much more powerful words are for children, particularly when they come from an authority figure such as a parent or teacher.

How can parents best help their children? Positive parenting is a good first step -- focus on rewarding 'good' behaviours rather than punishing 'bad'ones. We can go much further than this, however. We can set our children up for success, relaxation and happiness.

An example from my own family may help. To encourage my nine year old's writing I asked him to imagine walking through town when he's grown up and entering a bookshop. There's something familiar about the display in front of him, and as he draws nearer he sees his own name and photo on the dust cover. It's a strong image and one which has struck a chord with him. We chat about this from time to time, and he's started to ask about literary agents and the whole process of getting a book published. In other words, he's made the transition towards believing that he could be an author.

Children are exceptionally trusting. Describe happy futures and they will work towards these with the same energy which they put into Christmas present lists. Above all, we need to mind our language as parents, and ask ourselves what predictions we are making for our children when we speak to them.

The Teen Cellular Phone Market is Growing in Leaps and Bounds

Everywhere you turn around, you see someone talking on a cell phone. This latest technological shift in the way we converse with each other has not been lost on teenagers. In fact, experts would agree, that teens are the fastest growing demographic in the cellular phone market.

And the parents are paying for their teens to have a cell phone. Why? Having your teen carry a cell phone gives you, the parent, a secure feeling that your teen will be safe with one and the additional expense becomes a mute point. If you are debating whether or not you should get your teen a cell phone, compare plans and do your homework. All key cell phone companies offer family plans as well as free cellular phones.

But before you make that purchase?.While your main concern may be your teen's safety but have you considered what your teen's main objective may be? I doubt that it would be his/her safety. I bet your teen's objective may be to talk to all of his/her friends on his/her new cool cell phone. Hence, the airtime usage will be astronomical. Therefore, you may wish to seek out a plan that has plenty of free minutes as well as unlimited nights and weekends. Or you may opt for a prepaid cellular plan whereby you will have more control over the minutes used.

Secondly, can you depend on your teen not to lose her/his new cellular phone? If you think that this might be an issue, perhaps you should consider a free cell phone plan. While this may cost you money at the front-end, it won't be an extraordinary charge at the backend if your teen comes home without the cell phone.

Another tip?Teenagers driving and cell phone use. While it is against the law in some areas to drive while talking on a cell phone, you may wish to consider a hands-free kit for the car. This also allows your teen driver to converse on the cell phone and concentrate on driving.

Cell phones are great devices and combined with the best cellular phone plan that suits you, your family and, of course, your budget, it's a great investment.

A Word Fitly Spoken ~ Believe

A Word Fitly Spoken

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Proverbs 25:11

Under All that We Think, Lives All We Believe, Like the Ultimate Veil of Our Spirits. ~ Antonio Machado

Believe: To exercise belief in, to regard or accept as true; to place confidence in; to think; to consider; to be persuaded of a truth ~ Webster's Unabridged Dictionary

Such a small common word packs a plethora of meaning from the non conventional to the conventional. Usually deferred to a Religious segment of our Life, but with introspection let's look at where this word actually fits into our own Individuality in Life.

Consider everything in Your Life at this very moment IS in Your Life because of what You Believe. Now that makes it very personal and very simple. Some people have to see before they Believe, while others have to Believe before they see. Believing still wins out either way, for it forms our Life and molds our very Existence. What You Believe Today can change Tomorrow, and can change Your Tomorrows. Each Day we are evolving in what we Believe. Each Day we are adding to our Life in what we Believe, or not Believe.

Take a moment and reflect upon Your Life and what You Believe or do not Believe. Try to see how it permeates Your Life or has influenced Your Individuality. Question its pertinence and value. Validate what You Believe to what is actually happening in Your Life. Try to verify Your Thoughts and Words since they are the Vehicles of what You Believe. Take a conscious Responsibility to Believe with Accountability.

Look upon this Road less traveled, because to Believe is not only an never ending Path, but Your God given right as an Individual. Allow what You Believe to mark Your Path with Direction and Definition. Never be afraid to change. Believe Today and see Your Tomorrow. Believe Today because it is Your Tomorrow.

Fishing for Salmon? Do You Know the Different Salmon Species?

Did you know that there are five species of Pacific salmon and one species of Atlantic salmon? Further, did you know that all 5 species of Pacific salmon run wild in Alaska?

We're proud of our wild salmon here in Alaska, and rightly so. On the one hand the wild salmon are great sport fish and we Alaskans love to spend gorgeous summer weekends challenging them.

On the other hand our commercial fisheries are healthy and self-sustaining. They are able to catch enough wild salmon to satisfy most of the world wide demand for fresh wild fillets in the restaurants and packaged wild salmon on grocery store shelves.

King Salmon

The Chinook salmon is nicknamed king salmon in Alaska. It is the official Alaska state fish.

Description

Of all the Pacific salmon the king is the largest. A 97-pound king was caught by a sport fisherman in 1986 on the Kenai River. In 1949 a 126 pound king was caught commercially near Petersburg, Alaska. Typically king salmon weigh 30 pounds and above.

The king is lightly and irregularly spotted on their blue-green back. They also have a black pigment along their gum line. Spawning kings in fresh water range in color from red to copper to almost black.

Life Cycle

All species of Pacific salmon hatch in fresh water, spend part of their life cycle in the ocean, then return to fresh water to spawn.

The king salmon generally live 5 to 7 years, though they can mature by their second to third year. As a result the kings in a spawning run can vary greatly in size. A mature 3-year old may only weigh 4 pounds while a mature 7-year old may exceed 50 pounds.

The young king salmon feed on plankton and insects during their fresh water period. During their second year they migrate to the ocean where they grow rapidly.

Some kings make immense spawning migrations. For example, many of the Yukon River kings will migrate over 2,000 miles during a 60 day period to reach the streams and headwaters in Yukon Territory, Canada.

Taste

The king salmon has a rich flavor, firm flesh, and a pleasing red color. Kings caught at the mouth of the Yukon River have a huge store of oil in their flesh for their long upriver migration. The result is an extra-rich flavor, much prized among those who love salmon.

Sockeye Salmon

The Sockeye salmon is also called the red salmon due to the bright red color of its flesh, and it is the second most abundant salmon species in Alaska.

Description

Sockeye salmon are the slimmest and most streamlined of the 5 species of Pacific salmon. They differ from kings, silvers, and pink salmon by the lack of large black spots, and they differ from chum salmon by having more gill rakers on the first gill.

Sockeye are generally a greenish-blue color with silver sides and a white or silver belly.

During the spawning season the Sockeye males develop a humped back and a hooked jaw. Both male and female Sockeye turn brilliant to dark red as they head upriver to their spawning grounds.

Life Cycle

After hatching during the winter and spending a few months in the river gravels, the juvenile Sockeye spend 1 to 3 years in freshwater before migrating to the ocean.

The Sockeye spend 1 to 4 years in the ocean, ranging thousands of miles while feeding and then returning to the same freshwater system where they were born. They reach an average size of 4 to 8 pounds, sometimes reaching in excess of 15 pounds.

Bristol Bay, in southwestern Alaska, annually harvests the largest number of Sockeye salmon in the world. About 10 million to 30 million Sockeye are caught during a short season that lasts only a few weeks.

Taste

The Sockeye salmon has an exquisitely rich flavor due to the high concentration of oils. It is an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids. The rich red flesh color is maintained throughout cooking which results in a beautiful presentation. Some people consider the Sockeye to be the most flavorful of all the salmon species.

Silver Salmon

Coho salmon are known as silver salmon in Alaska and are an excellent game fish.

Description

Coho salmon have bright silver sides and have small black spots on their back.

Spawning salmon of both sexes develop red to maroon colored sides. The males develop a hooked snout with large teeth.

Life History

Juvenile silvers live in ponds and lakes formed by rivers and streams. They generally spend one to three years in the streams and may spend as many as 5 winters in lakes before migrating to the ocean.

Silvers stay in the ocean, where they grow quickly, for about 18 months before returning to their home streams. They weigh from 8 to 12 pounds, but can range up to 31 pounds. Their length ranges from 25 to 35 inches.

Taste

The flesh color of silver salmon is orange-red and is retained during cooking. The texture is firm and the fat content is high. The taste is a pleasing full salmon flavor, slightly milder than that of the Sockeye. The size of a fillet is larger than that of the Sockeye, and it is a prized fish for cooking.

Pink Salmon

Pink salmon are also known as the humpback in Alaska. Prior to spawning the pink salmon develops a pronounced hump on its back.

Description

The color of the pink salmon is generally a bright steely blue on top and silver on the sides. It has many large black spots on its back and over the entire tail fin. It has small scales and its flesh is pink, befitting its name.

The spawning pink salmon develops an olive green to black color on its back with a light-colored to white belly. It develops a very pronounced hump and hooked jaws.

Life Cycle

The young pink salmon hatch during the winter and spend a few months in the river gravels. During the spring they migrate downstream to the ocean. They feed along the beaches before moving out further into the ocean.

Like all salmon, the pinks grow rapidly in the ocean but they are the smallest of the Pacific salmon species. The pinks reach a size of about 3 to 5 pounds and about 20 to 24 inches in length.

The pink salmon spends only two years in the ocean. This two year pattern causes distinct odd-year and even-year cycles which are unrelated to each other.

When the pinks return to freshwater, they are the most abundant of the Pacific salmon species. They do not migrate far upriver, but generally spawn within a few miles of the mouth of the river. As with the other Pacific species both male and female pinks will die within a couple of weeks of spawning.

Taste

The pink salmon has a delicate, mild flavor and a light flesh color. About 80% of harvested pinks are canned and are the most common salmon species found on grocery store shelves.

Chum Salmon

Sometimes called "dog salmon" in Alaska, the chum salmon is a traditional source of dried fish for winter use.

Description

Chum salmon have a metallic greenish-blue back surface with fine black spots. They resemble sockeye and silver salmon so closely that one needs to examine their gills and fins closely to make a positive identification.

When nearing fresh water the chum salmon develops noticeable vertical bars of green and purple, which gives them another nickname, calico salmon.

The spawning chums develop the typical hooked jaws like other Pacific salmon and large teeth, which partially accounts for their other nickname, dog salmon.

Life Cycle

As with pink salmon, the young chum do not spend much time in fresh water before migrating out into the ocean. They feed near the mouths of their streams for a period before forming schools and moving further out into the ocean.

The chums spend 3 to 5 years in salt water, growing rapidly after entering the ocean. They generally range in size from 7 to 18 pounds, sometimes reaching 30 pounds in weight.

When the chums return to fresh water they often spawn in the same areas as the pinks, not migrating far up river. One major exception to this pattern is the chum salmon population of the Yukon River. Some of these chums migrate 2000 miles upriver to spawn in Yukon Territory of Canada. These chums have a very high fat content in preparation for their long migration.

Taste

Chum salmon have a mild, delicate flavor with a medium red flesh color. However, Yukon River chums, with their higher fat content, have a rich, full flavor similar to Kings and Sockeye.

Atlantic Salmon

Atlantic salmon are not native to the Pacific coast but are raised in large numbers in pens. They run wild on the Atlantic coast only. The Atlantic salmon found in markets are farm-raised, generally originating in salmon farms off Chile or British Columbia, Canada.

Description

Atlantic salmon in the wild have silvery sides and belly with greenish-blue coloration on its back.

Spawning Atlantic salmon develop blackish fins and purplish coloration and reddish spots. Surviving adults are dark in color.

Life Cycle

In the wild young salmon spend one to three years in fresh water before migrating to the ocean. In the ocean the Atlantic salmon ranges for thousands of miles.

They generally return to freshwater by the age of five. Unlike the five Pacific species of salmon, the Atlantic salmon does not die after spawning. The surviving adults repeat the migration and spawning cycle.

Dont Dig Your Own Pit

If you want to enjoy your life out of spending, enjoy if you have your own resources and money.

But don't enjoy your life by becoming a debtor to somebody.

Of course in the modern world, there are many ways and means, which force you to become a debtor.

Attractive advertisements in the satellite TV force you to become a debtor.

It tempts you to buy the modern amenities at any cost.

Even though you don't have any money or resources it shows you many resources for obtaining credit to buy that product. But you must think thousand times before becoming a debtor.

In today's world credit is the easily available commodity. Numerous companies are waiting to pull you in their trap. They are competing severely to pull you in their trap.

But you must be careful to entangle in that trap.

In spite of this caution if you are prepared to enjoy, then you won't get any pleasure. But you will lose your peace of mind.

Let us discuss about the common desire of everybody. It is natural that every body wants to have their own house. It is a reasonable desire.

But the desire can be attained if you have enough money on your own to buy the house.

If you are an executive working in a company what will you think?

You will get ready to apply for some loan and buy that house.

As such you have decided and applied for a loan.

The loan has also been sanctioned.

Next you will ask the engineer to construct the house with in the sanction of loan.

But the Engineer on seeing the plan will say "Sir, you are constructing house once in your life,

Why such a low budget house, we can increase slightly your plan sir, it won't cost much only some increase in your normal budget, he will tempt you.

By that time you will also have some Himalayan courage, and think why can't we adjust that 10% increase, we can adjust that 10% increase by obtaining loan from our relatives, and you give consent to the engineer's suggestion.

The Engineer begins to build your house. The house is also going to be completed soon and only some finishing work is there.

You ask your engineer 'when can I take possession of the house', sir?

The engineer will politely tell you, Sir, there is a small problem, the problem is due to the increase in the cost of materials, I fear whether it is possible to complete the House what we have already planned.

But you are in the dream that the house should be constructed at any cost.

What you will do. The next thing before you will be some bank balances available in your savings account and the jewels of your wife or your children.

So your savings, jewels will all go from you and fill the cashbox of another businessmen.

Your house becomes ready finally. On seeing the house raised beautifully you will forget where you got the money.

You will forget about the loan you obtained from your company.

You will forget about the loan you obtained from your relatives.

You will forget about the erosion of your savings and jewels.

All these will come to your remembrance only when the company commences their recovery for the loan you obtained.

All these will come to your remembrance only when your relatives need the money they paid.

All these will come to your remembrance when you don't have enough money in your savings account for your urgent requirement.

You can get easy resources to fill up the shortfall, because you are working in a company. Companies are ready to give you credit on the basis of your salary slip.

You are also ready to get credit from another company to fill up the deficit.

Now you are ready to close the small debt pit, and begin to dig another debt pit, which will be deeper than the first pit.

The same deficit pressure mounts after some time. Again you are prepared to obtain loan with some other company.

Now you dig another debt pit, which is more than the size of first and second debt pit.

Like this you will go on digging pit after pit, closing the earlier pit to overcome your deficit.
